Red Cross Girls Series Books - Titles and Authors

This is the text of an eBay guide that I created in 2006.  The guides are now orphaned pages that can only be found through an Internet search.  eBay plans to delete the guides in April 2018.

This eBay guide was viewed approximately 5,000 times.

The purpose of this guide is to list the different vintage series books that feature characters who join the Red Cross.  All of these books were published during or right after World War I when patriotism ran high.

There is just one series that is completely centered around the Red Cross:

The Red Cross Girls by Margaret Vandercook

  1. The Red Cross Girls in the British Trenches, 1916
  2. The Red Cross Girls on the French Firing Line, 1916
  3. The Red Cross Girls in Belgium, 1916
  4. The Red Cross Girls with the Russian Army, 1916
  5. The Red Cross Girls with the Italian Army, 1917
  6. The Red Cross Girls Under the Stars and Stripes, 1917
  7. The Red Cross Girls Afloat with the Flag, 1918
  8. The Red Cross Girls with Pershing to Victory, 1919
  9. The Red Cross Girls with the U. S. Marines, 1919
10. The Red Cross Girls in the National Capitol, 1920
